Planning a hen party in Tuscany, or a bachelorette if you're on the US side of the Atlantic, and want something the bride will actually remember? A private yoga and wine experience gives your group a shared ritual, not a party trick: time on the mat together, followed by a guided tasting of handpicked wines led by a certified AIS sommelier. See the full yoga & wine experience for format details.

The yoga session

The experience opens with 60–90 minutes of Vinyasa yoga, accessible to complete beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Bodies loosen, phones get put down, and the group lands in the same room together, which, if you've ever tried to wrangle a pre-wedding group, is the first small miracle of the day.

The wine tasting

We then transition to a guided tasting of three or more wines. After our briefing I work with the venue on a selection that suits the group's tastes and the mood you want for the day. You'll learn to taste like a sommelier: how to read a wine from its colour, what those aromas actually mean, why the producer matters more than the label, all while toasting to the bride. It's as elegant or as boisterous as you make it.

Where it's hosted

Hosted at a venue licensed to serve wine: a winery, an agriturismo, or your hotel. The venue provides and serves the wine under its own licence, while I lead the yoga and guide the tasting. I travel across the Pisan hills, Chianti and the Tuscan coast, with mats and props available on request. If you're renting a private villa, I can suggest a nearby winery for the tasting.

Classy hen party ideas in Tuscany

If you're after classy hen party ideas rather than the usual clichés, the yoga and wine experience works beautifully as the centrepiece of a relaxed day. You can even build a day around it: a long lunch at a nearby restaurant afterwards, a villa stay in the Pisan or Chianti hills, a morning at a thermal spa, or a sunset session on the terrace to open the celebration.

It also pairs with the other hen do activities Tuscany does best, olive oil tasting, a wine tour, a cookery class, or a day on the coast at Versilia. For a hen do in Italy that the bride remembers (for the right reasons!), starting on the mat and ending with a glass in hand is hard to beat.

Languages: English, Italian, and Spanish. Let me know which works for your group and I'll teach the session in that language.

Perfect for

  • Destination hen parties staying at a Tuscan villa
  • Bachelorette parties (US/Canada) and hen dos (UK/Australia): same experience, your terminology
  • Friend groups from 3 upwards
  • Mixed-nationality groups (sessions taught in English, Italian, or Spanish)
  • A bride who practices yoga, or a bride who's never tried it
  • Morning sessions before a lunch or afternoon activity

Frequently asked

How much does a hen party yoga and wine experience cost?
From €55 per person for the yoga and guided tasting, for groups from 3. The wine and venue are arranged and paid separately; the total also depends on group size and any add-ons. I'll send a full quote within 24 hours of your enquiry.
Do we need to have done yoga before?
No. The session is taught for mixed ability. Beginners get individual attention; experienced practitioners get gentle adjustments. The point is the group experience, not the poses.
Does everyone have to drink wine?
No. The tasting is the teaching: you're welcome to participate without drinking, or sip sparingly. Non-alcoholic alternatives can be arranged on request.
Where can the hen experience be held?
At any venue licensed to serve wine and happy to host a guided tasting: a winery, an agriturismo, or your hotel. The venue serves the wine under its own licence, while I lead the yoga and guide the tasting. Tell me where you're based across the Pisan hills, Chianti or the Tuscan coast and I'll confirm your venue works or suggest one nearby. Private villa rentals usually aren't licensed to serve alcohol, so in that case we hold the tasting at a nearby winery.
How far ahead should we book?
Ideally 4–6 weeks, especially for peak summer. I'll always try to accommodate last-minute requests if the date is open.
What are some classy hen party ideas in Tuscany?
Build the day around one shared experience rather than a packed schedule. The yoga + wine experience is a popular centrepiece, paired with a villa stay in the Pisan or Chianti hills, a long trattoria lunch, or a sunset terrace session. A grown-up celebration (connection over chaos) which is exactly what most brides want from a destination hen do.
What hen do activities can we add around the yoga and wine?
Tuscany pairs well with a winery tour, a cookery class, a day on the Versilia coast, or a thermal-spa morning. I'm happy to help you sequence the day so the yoga and wine sits where it works best: usually morning yoga to land the group, tasting to celebrate.
Is Tuscany a good place for a hen do abroad?
Very. It's easy to reach (Pisa and Florence airports are on the doorstep), villas and agriturismi suit groups, the regions is breathtakingly beautiful, and the pace suits a relaxed celebration. A hen do in Italy, built around a shared experience.
